Which is actually much more appealing than when I sounded like that Sarah Sidle from CSI. Not as cool as when I was Phoebe. But. I am so totally FBI material. Or I could be on an elite detective squad.
I have made a powerful decision: I am going to be One of Those People Who Own Pens. I am. I think it's just a one-step goal, too. I go and buy some pens. Easy peasy.
And, really? Aren't all life changes like that? Deciding, hey, I want to own pens! I think I'd like photography! I would like a cooler car! A significant other who doesn't do that creepy snore-whistly thing! More turtlenecks! More money! Less loose flabby arm skin! More sex! Less phlegm! Cookies!
Cannot we just decide? More or less or different or better or new? And then make it so?

I love your shoes. I also love the way you make changing your life sound so simple and inspiring.

As I've said before...you are a very good writer, Trish. Fun to read. From the heart. Very nice.

Pens are a nice goal. As good as anything else. You go girl. Seriously. You never know where it will lead...

I really like this entry. I think that if someone can describe how moving on is both necessary and inspiring...she should be admired.
And she is.
Love the shoes.

Thanks, you lovely people! I did forget to buy pens today, but all that means is that it was clearly not the right time.
The shoes are too big, if anyone is interested! They a size 8 in the Steve Madden size 8. Which I believe has got to be almost a nine. At the very least and 8 1/2. Send me money for shipping and they are yours! They are flats, btw. And adorable. Never worn except for that photo.
Scott, that really helped me feel good, thank you!

Wow! I was shocked to surf back by & find THREE NEW POSTS!!! Glad you're feeling better, luv the pic...
Hmmm, if I had any reason whatsoever to wear such a neat pair of shoes -- I'm very depressed bcz I went to the fancy running-shoe store to get re-measured since my feet have been KILLING ME, and found my feet have expanded post-pregnancy not just half a size as I had thought, but A SIZE AND A HALF!?!
That's a roundabout way of saying that I now wear an 8 1/2...
(But at least my feet feel better now that I'm not cramming 'em into shoes one size too small.)

OHMIGOD!
I call the shoes! I call the shoes! *I* am between an 81/2 and 9. It was like it was meant to be!
Or, we could create something like the teenage series THE TRAVELLING PANTS CLUB where these girls pass around this fabulous pair of pants and have smoochy good times whilst the pants are in their possession.
Only, you know, with shoes!
